Melissa is an associate at Prowse Chowne in the litigation department. Melissa has a general litigation practice, with a focus on disputes regarding employment, intellectual property, business and commercial matters, administrative matters, and construction.
Melissa has appeared at all levels of Court in Alberta, including the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Court of Appeal. Melissa believes in taking a realistic approach to assisting her clients with litigation matters through risk-analysis and strategy, with a mindset towards the best possible outcome.
In her free time, Melissa sits as the Vice-President of the Board of Directors for CAAWLS (Chimo Animal Assisted Wellness and Learning Society) where she puts her passion for animal assisted wellness to use. Melissa is also a member of the Edmonton Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
