Noël is a partner in the litigation department. Her primary areas of practice are employment law and litigation, business litigation, contractual disputes as well as intellectual property litigation. Noël has handled corporate re-organizations, receivership matters, patent and trademark infringement actions as well as a wide variety of employment and corporate dispute actions. Noël has appeared before all levels of Alberta and Federal Courts and been involved in an appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada.
In addition to her litigation practice Noël is a mediator focusing on employment and contractual disputes.
After graduating from the University of Alberta’s School of Business, Noël worked in the Marketing and Sales Department of a local international machine manufacturer before attending Law School in Cardiff, Wales. Noël graduated from the University of Cardiff in 2006, wrote her Canadian equivalency exams and began articling with Prowse Chowne LLP. While attending law school, Noël studied European Union law and wrote a dissertation – Merger Law: a Comparison of the Canadian and British Regimes.
Noël is pleased to be back in Edmonton with her young family. Noël is a member of the Alberta Ballet Board of Directors, the Secretary of the Canadian Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution (North) Section and a member of the Canadian Bar Association Inns of Court (North) committee. From 2011 to 2017 she was also a member of the Fringe Theatre Adventures’ Board of Directors serving as the vice-president of the board of directors and chair of the Policy and Legal Committees.
